Plain-language summary

1. Who we are

"Lumen", "we", "us", "our" refers to the operator of lumendev.net. "You" or "Customer" refers to the person or entity using the service.

2. The service

Lumen is a prompt-architect workbench. It helps you compose prompts for AI agents and stores your workspaces, threads, and configuration. The actual AI inference happens on the providers you connect (via API key). Lumen mediates; it does not replace the providers.

3. Account

You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential. You agree to provide accurate information at signup and to keep your contact email current. You may not share a single account across multiple individuals or organizations beyond reasonable team use.

You own the prompts you write and the content you generate. Lumen claims no rights to your inputs or outputs. The AI providers you connect may apply their own terms to content sent through their APIs; review those separately.

You agree not to use Lumen to:

We may terminate your account immediately if we observe a credible violation. We may report illegal activity to authorities.

7. Service availability

Lumen is provided on a commercially reasonable best-effort basis. We do not commit to a specific uptime SLA. We may interrupt the service for maintenance, security incidents, or operational reasons. Where practical we give advance notice.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Lumen is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI outputs may be incorrect, biased, or unsafe; you are responsible for reviewing them before acting.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lumen's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Lumen in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US $100. Lumen is not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time via the Billing page or by contacting support. We may terminate your account for material breach of these terms with notice when practical. On termination, your access ends; deletion of your data happens per our Privacy policy.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Sarasota County, Florida.
